Duerksen Turkey Farm, a third generation farm located in Mancelona, Michigan. Mancelona is a small town located in Antrim County, in the northwest portion of Michigan’s lower peninsula.
At Duerksen Turkey Farm, we strive to live a simple life, walking daily, and living off the abundance of our farm fresh produce, herbs and poultry. It is important to us to maintain the quality of clean acres that the Lord has provided for us. Our land is healthy and chemical free for our future generations.
Our passion is to share with all ages the many joys and challenges of living on a family farm. We care deeply about the turkeys we raise and desire to produce the healthiest turkey possible, for the consumer.
WHY IS PASTURE RAISED BEST? Omega-3 is one of the two essential fatty acids that cannot be produced by our bodies but are required for good health. Omega-3 fatty acid is found in green leaf vegetables and grass.
Omega-6 fatty acid is found in grains such as soy beans and corn. Both are essential for our health.
Our turkeys spend their lives in wide open spaces. They dine on tender green grass and breathe fresh country air, while chasing after a delicious meal of a variety of insects and grasshoppers. They are not subject to crowding, toxic ammonia fumes, or inhumane practices.
